When the Royal Tourney was announced to be making its triumphant return, we truly had no idea what to expect. While the 1st three victories were anticipated by many (with Mandla and Stevie being established feature-racers and Styles having risen up the ranks last season), many were surprised by the winner of the last race.
We asked Jim Kieck his feelings on the reaction “Well for starters, our race was highly anticipated because both Thorne and I have both worn then crown. We both know what’s it’s like. While I was what they call a transitional King, Thorne was first. “Personally, I think that I was the better racer here tonight and I hope to continue being the better racer up until I win the tourney.”
While many have doubted Jim before, he has proven himself. After all, he is a former F-X King — transitional or not and we look forward to seeing how he does against a woman many believe is the bet F-X racer never to have won the Crown.
