TOUCHING BASE

Mandla Xulu

This week’s episode of Touching Base saw  Touch Mkhize invite his Royal Tourney Heat One opponent, Mandla Xulu onto his talk show.

In classic Touch fashion, the host went right for the jugular by asking what went wrong in his big race with Styles Sithole in Heat Two.

“Well I don’t think I have to answer to someone who lost in Heat One.” As Mandla continued in attack mode rather than defense mode, he made the mistake of calling Touch cannon-fodder in the so-called line of succession in the Claim for the Crown.

However Touch seemed to have learnt from all his lessons from Season Two. “Oh buddy, if you think I’m cannon-fodder than you should check the mirror because you’re right there next to me.”

While the Steamroller clearly looked to rip the Show Host a new one, he bit his tongue, clearly caring more to prove himself a better racer.

Could it be possible that we’re looking at a replay race between these two in the near future?
